Transparent Living!
Let's face it, the world in which we live puts on a lot of masks. We are seldom 'real' with each other even in our own families. We wear our false front as a protection against those who would gain an advantage in our business, social, political and religious life. Those who go to church are the most susceptible to the charges of 'phony' and 'hypocrite'. For the fronts we put up are so blatantly contrary to the teachings of Jesus.
Jesus Christ lived a transparent life. His example is ours to follow both physically and spiritually. To love those around us with a Christ-like love, treating them with respect and grace, is our charge. To allow the living God to shine though our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit is the call of every person.
Is it possible to live as Christ calls us, to have abundance, to have joy and be real? We believe that it is and that the Bible can help us in finding our way. Join us each Sunday morning in May as we examine the life Christ is calling each of us to live. Together we will explore ways to remove our masks and live "The Transparent Life!"
Youth Worship Service
Sunday, May 18,, the youth of WVPC will be leading us in exuberant worship. One Sunday a year, we turn the gathering time over to their creativity. If you're young, young at heart or just enjoy the energy of today's youth, plan to be a part of this time in the life of our congregation.
