Today I want to thank all of you for being such a great congregation and for hanging in there with me, and the Session during the switch to ECO. In December it will be one year since the vote last December. I know it has been rough, but I also know that God is faithful. We are seeing some wonderful things happening in people’s lives, and tomorrow is my first ECO Presbytery meeting ever. I will let you know what it is like!
In our church we are having some great events and participation as well. We had pumpkin night last week with over 110 people present. There was much enthusiasm and a whole lot of you helping out. Also we just finished our wonderful Boutique and there was so much to choose from! Thank you to all of you who supported this effort.
On an even deeper note, someone told me today that WVPC had saved their life. What an honor for our church to be told this! There is so much support for the hurting and also an earnest desire to serve at WVPC so I was not surprised to hear this. You are amazing!
May God continue to pour out his Holy Spirit on us all that we might continue to save lives by his power, and may we experience the love of Jesus who does so much more good than we can ever ask or think. Bless you all! Pastor Kim
Highlights On What’s Happening:
Pageant Rehearsals Begin:
Bring your children to church. Terri is practicing the Pageant after worship, along with Pastor Kim who is teaching them Christmas Songs on the guitar.
Along with your kids….
Bring your packages of underwear, socks and canned goods to church all November and put it in designated bins for the homeless. These will be delivered on Service Worship Sunday as well as used for Youth Thanksgiving Baskets.
Service Worship with Free Pancake Breakfast (8:30)
Make Advent Wreaths for your family and one for a shut-in. Advent Devotional Books will be available; also many other projects for all ages. If you have out of town family visiting for Thanksgiving, bring them, and bring your friends. Sometimes people are more willing to serve during the holidays.
