A minute for missions

The Missions Department takes a thorough in-depth look at each of the mission areas we support here at WVPC. Missions continues to faithfully give 10% of our budget each year in keeping with our vision: For Jesus' sake, we welcome strangers to become friends, friends to become family, and family to become the heart, hands, and feet of God.

Mission projects are divided into the following three categories: Local, National, International.

Each mission project has been evaluated for financial health and responsible use of mission funds. Our Missions Department is in regular contact with each recipient, and we invite different missionaries and organizations we support to present "A Minute for Missions" at one of our worship services. We feel it is important for the congregation to have a face to associate with the organizations we support.

Additionally, we have instituted a closely monitored walk-in policy to assist local non-members in need. So, in total, the congregation is supporting 11 missions, ranging from Local to International.

For an individual list of the missions WVPC supports, please contact any member of the Missions Department, read the Annual Report, or visit the Supported Missions page here on the WVPC website. We hope you will be inspired and enthusiastic about the many areas of care and support that we offer. Blessings and thank you!
