Dear Church Family
Thanks to all of you who attended the ECO Church partnership information sessions over the last few weeks. We had many thoughtful questions and comments at every meeting, as well as in the follow-up survey, and have worked to provide information and answers where possible.
Several people at the last meeting expressed a desire to read the document of understanding. For your convenience, we have provided a link to the draft document below. We will have a few copies available on Sunday.
If you have additional questions or need more information, please contact the Session working group at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll respond as best we can. We know that there are some questions that can only be answered by time; we trust we have a God who knows our future and will lead us into good things.
One of the questions on the survey: “Do you think it is a good idea to share our facilities with Onnuri?” provided the optional answers:: Yes, No, Not sure. From the surveys we received (56 in total), 82% responded that they thought it was a good idea,11% responded they were not sure, while 7% responded that they thought it was not.
With the positive response in the survey, and from discussions and feedback at the three information sessions we have held, the Session will move ahead with creating a one-year lease with the Onnuri Church, renewable each year on the anniversary date of the lease.
We are confident that this partnership is being led by God’s desire for His church to flourish, even in 21st century Silicon Valley. As WVPC is called to expand our ministry to our community in new ways and with new voices, this step will open new opportunities to know Christ and make Him known.
In Christ’s service,
The WVPC Session
