Sheltering in Place
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:4-7
West Valley Presbyterian Church is complying with current Santa Clara County health directives. Sunday Services are suspended and sermons will be made available on-line. Other weekly and scheduled activities will likely be affected, too. Reach out to the contact(s) noted for specific events for further information. For us, the first priority is to take good care of one another, especially those of us who are considered “at-risk” because of age or underlying health issues. With that in mind, all Sunday morning programs through June are cancelled. We will continue to follow the County health directives and will have more information about resuming services as the situation becomes more clear. In the meantime, we want to stay in touch with you. Please keep us updated about how you are doing! |
A note about finances
Thank you, West Valley family and friends, for your faithfulness. Your prayers and your offers of service to the vulnerable in our community indicate that the love of Christ Jesus continues to strengthen us during this unusual time. Another practical way you can help is remembering to support WVPC financially during this time. Our ministry has not been quarantined, and our staff and mission partners rely on our support as they serve as disciples of Jesus. You may choose to send your gift digitally or "go retro" and send it via the U.S. mail. Here are your options:
Difficult situations like this are great opportunities for the Church to Be the Church. Look out for your neighbors, and get your WVPC family involved if you know of someone who is need. |
Secure Computing Advisory
WVPC Family: Beware of "look alike" scam emails, soliciting cash or gift card donations, and purporting to be from WVPC staff or friends! WVPC staff members will never ask for donations through "third party methods", such as gift cards or mobile payment apps. Furthermore, staff emails will always originate from the wvpc.org domain only. And if the instructions in an email are "out of character", strange, or include an urgent call to action, then please call the purported sender first to confirm he/she actually sent the email! Remember, the best defense against scammers is a strong sense of caution and "due diligence".
