God has an incredible purpose for every person. He has designed each one of us with special gifts and talents to bless others and to help bring his kingdom of peace, goodness, healing, life, and justice. This is at the core of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. At WVPC we encourage everyone in the church community to serve in ministry (to the church community) and mission (to the local community and the world) whether they have been in our community for one day or for many years. In doing so we come into the fullness of a relationship with God: We discover God’s purpose for our lives, we discover some of the deepest satisfaction of life, we discover extraordinary joy, fullness, blessing, and peace. This is how God seeks to bless us and to bless the world around us. See the list below for some featured ministry opportunities. Jump In! Go Serve! And in the process experience God like you never have before!
Featured Ministry Opportunities
Communications Volunteer: The WVPC ministries require regular communications via print, web, and email. If you can volunteer a few hours a week and have basic computer skills, then please contact Lanette Bell at [email protected] or (408) 252-1365.
Welcome Center Volunteers: Serve at the Welcome Center to greet visitors and make their experience a great one! This important ministry is easy and fun; volunteer just once a month. Come twenty minutes early to the Sunday worship service and stay a little after. All you have to do is be friendly and help orient visitors. If interested, contact Lanette Bell.
Ushers: If you're willing to greet others, hand out programs, and guide them to seats, hearing aid assistance, or any other helpful assistance during the Sunday worship service, please contact Lanette Bell.
