After Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He was wrapped in cloth and buried. Three days later, He rose from the grave. Peter was one of the first apostles to see the empty tomb, and later He saw the resurrected Jesus. Peter was never the same again after this, and he became “on fire” for Jesus. He went on to become one of the most important people in the early church. His love for Jesus caught others “on fire” and left a legacy of people all over the world who know and love Jesus Christ. |

Scripture from Luke 24:46-48 (NIV) 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. |
Look at the fire and ask yourself:
“Am I on fire for Jesus?” If yes, then pray that Jesus continues to be the fuel to keep that fire going. If no, think and pray about why that might be. After Peter encountered the risen Christ, he had to respond to Him. And now, you have that same opportunity to respond based on the truth you know about Him. |
